Learn to Love Seasonal SEO
With Valentineââ¬â¢s Day here, many people are scrambling to buy their loved ones something before itââ¬â¢s too late. However, if youââ¬â¢re an online retailer or marketer, you donââ¬â¢t have the luxury of leaving things to the last minute when it comes to seasonal holidays. According to Google Trends, consumers were searching Google and YouTube for Valentine gift ideas as early as January 7.This means marketers need to start optimizing for search engines well in advance, especially before busy periods like Christmas. Free Actionable Bonus: Looking to elevate your SEO strategy? We partnered with Jay Baer of Convince Convert to create this free ebook on 6 Ways to Fix Your Barebones SEO Strategy Seasons for SEO Most businesses have several peak seasons through the year. Valentineââ¬â¢s Day and Christmas are obvious examples, but have you considered St. Patrickââ¬â¢s Day, April Foolââ¬â¢s Day, Easter, Motherââ¬â¢s Day, Independence Day, Diwali, Veteranââ¬â¢s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving or New Yearââ¬â¢s Day? Large sporting events like the Super Bowl can also be used to your advantage, as can actual seasons like spring and summer. Optimizing your content for the events that make the most sense for your business can improve your search engine rankings, attract more shoppers and boost your sales. But the trick to making seasonal content work lies in knowing when your peak seasons are and what your audience is searching during these times. Understanding Your Peak Seasons Measuring your SEO progress throughout the year will give you a more accurate picture of your seasonal trends. Most analytics tools will tell you when your traffic spikes naturally, where your visitors are coming from and when your sales dip and rise. Once youââ¬â¢ve figured out these prime times, you can use a keyword research tool, like Googleââ¬â¢s AdWords Keyword Planner, to understand the correlation between traffic spikes and particular keywords. Look for keywords with a decent search volume and relatively low competition. You can then use these keywords in your content to power up your seasonal campaigns. When to Start Seasonal Campaigns Any SEO campaign takes time to develop and implement, so you need to start planning your seasonal campaigns at least three to four months in advance. This involves: Deciding which products or services you want to show up in search results Identifying which keywords perform best around the product or service Developing keyword-rich landing pages for these seasonally related keywords Using social media channels to promote and share the content Keep in mind, if you post an article in December about holiday shopping, it may not show up in organic listings until after the holidays. Content takes time to get ranked by search engines and you need to allow time for promotion, so donââ¬â¢t leave it too late. Remember also that people do their online research weeks or months before they plan on making a purchase and peak times for specific search queries vary from one industry to the next. For example, if youââ¬â¢re in the travel industry, people planning a holiday in September might look for online deals in April. The Tradeoff of Seasonal Keywords Seasonal content has its own advantages and disadvantages compared to evergreen content. It may only be effective for shorter periods, but it also comes with less search engine competition. On the other hand, your stronger, long-term keywords will probably earn you more traffic over the course of many years. Making the Most of Seasonal Content If you decide seasonal content will benefit your business, here are some best practices you should bear in mind: Think of seasonal content as an additional strategy to your main SEO strategy Make your seasonal content as evergreen as possible, so you can reuse it Update existing popular content and product pages with additional keywords to make them more relevant to the current season. Try leaving seasonal pages live all year round to maximize search rankings. Update your local directory listings during busy periods with links to relevant seasonal landing pages. Promote your seasonal content via social media. Social signals such as shares and links should improve the ranking value of the seasonal content. Test your seasonal SEO efforts every year. Measuring the results will give you clues about where youââ¬â¢re going right and wrong. Right Content at the Right Time Almost every business has seasonal peaks and troughs. The key to succeeding with seasonal SEO is knowing when your busy periods are and publishing the right content at the right time. If you do, youââ¬â¢ll be able to take full advantage of when customers are most likely to be shopping for your kinds of products and services.

Education Failing to Promote essays
Education Failing to Promote essays A very important and influential aspect of our everyday lives is the mass media. Whether or it be radio, television or the internet messages, comment and opinions, ideas and facts are distributed and acquired by numerous persons. No matter the age or sex or religion, everyone listens to the media. The media projects messages that everyone believes for one reason or the other. The public identifies with the facts or fiction that are sent out. The media is so significant whatever they relay to the public, we will absorb it and use it. For may years the mass media has tried to bring about peace among individuals, but as mentioned before, it was only an effort or try. They (media) have repeated tried and they repeat the same mistakes continuously. But the question is, Is it really mistake? Does the media really care about peace in the world? Many people do not believe that, especially when it pertains to racial and ethnic equality. Each year the media gets different ethnic groups to view their opinions openly but somehow they use these same opinions and target the individuals. Every race and their heritage deserve to be able to participate in freedom but this is not so. The media forces people to come forward about their feelings. However, in the heat of the discussion they bombard the person with the questions that target their race or background. Racial and ethnic equality will never really be brought about because of the images that are reiterated by the media and others. The media has attempted to promote racial and ethnic equality by airing special sections on the topic worldwide encouraging people to unity. Unfortunately, somewhere down the line they contradict themselves by voicing the notion that certain people should have restrictions. The television stations encourage equality by hiring people from different ethnic backgrounds. They also accomplish this by letting them work with ...

Assess the Significance of the Role of Individuals in Reducing Racial
However, it cannot be disputed that, whatever his intentions had been, Lincolnââ¬â¢s Emancipation Proclamation did provide just a glimpse of hope for African Americans; De Jure, the African Americans throughout America had freedom and were able to leave the slavery of Southern plantation owners. Why is it then, that De Facto, the years following the Civil War failed to provide this ââ¬Ënew hopeââ¬â¢ for Blacks and that racism discrimination continued for many years to come? The idea of Blacks developing the mind set they needed in order to fight for their freedom can be categorised as their ââ¬Ëdeveloping consciousnessââ¬â¢. Throughout the 19th and 20th century, it was evident that Blacks had begun to realise that they too had rights and were entitled to the same as the Whites. Through the work of organisations such as the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People) and the Harlem Renaissance as well as individuals such as William Edward Burghardt (W. E. B) Du Bois; Blacks in American began developing their identity as a group and using this to fight back against the oppression of Whites. Du Bois was known as a vocal critic of Booker T Washington, being an educated Black- graduating from Fisk University in 1885 and studying history at Harvard University- he became the first African-American to receive a Ph. D. From Harvard. In order to develop Black Consciousness, Du Bois joined forces with the like minded activists of the NAACP. The NAACPââ¬â¢s main focal points were: The abolition of segregation; equal voting rights; educational opportunities for black people; the enforcement of the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Amendments. Despite the main focuses of the NAACPs campaigns, it could be argued that the main thing they did for the progress of Black Equality was the uniting of Blacks under one force; by 1918 there were around 43,994 members in the NAACP. This gathering of Blacks under one organisation cannot be ignored, for the first time the African-Americans of America were joining together in order to fight for their freedom. One key event which argues against the idea that individuals were significant in reducing racial discrimination is that of WWI; argued by Sanderââ¬â¢s- ââ¬Å"The First World War generated jobs and gave blacks soldiers a glimpse of greater equalityâ⬠. The treatment of Blacks abroad- particularly France- showed the African-Americans that the treatment they were receiving at home was unfair and that they were indeed in a situation which needed to change. It is a hard task indeed to decide whether or Black Consciousness increased due to the work solely of individuals such as Du Bois, organisations like the NAACP or events like WWI. Many would argue that it was not a single one of these factors which led to the increase of Blackââ¬â¢s realisation of potential. One argument however is that surely without individuals behind the organisations, the work and impact of the organisation is nothing? Individuals are able to lead, organise and even inspire; something that events and organisations are unable to do. The process of increased black nationalism is certainly one which cannot be overlooked; indeed it may not have achieved solid changes in law, and some go as far to say that it may have even hindered the advancement of Black Civil Rights. Despite this one could argue that the development of black nationalism catalysed the civil rights movement for many African Americans; installing a sense of pride inside the hearts of many which was drastically needed at the time. Before trying to pin any credible progress on the black nationalism movement it is first important to attempt to define ââ¬ËBlack Nationalismââ¬â¢. A simple definition of it would be that it was an ideology which stresses the desire for separatism of the black race; ââ¬Å"unity as a people, pride in African heritage, the creation of autonomous institutions and the search for a territory to build a nationâ⬠(Cone, 1991, 122). However the ideology of black nationalists varies greatly between individuals; a perfect example of this is Malcolm X and Martin Luther King. The two vary drastically between their methods in raising black nationalism. The methods and effectiveness of Malcolm Xââ¬â¢s campaign for the improved lives of black Americans are up for questioning by many. Indeed his tactics were more radicalised than his non-violent counterpart Dr King: Malcolm X even stated in Washington, 1964 that ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m here to remind the white man of the alternative to Dr Kingâ⬠. This statement could be seen to sum up the purpose of Malcolm X; due to the lack of credible change attached to him, one has to question whether his purpose was merely just to show what could happen (increased radicalisation and violence) if the demands of Dr King were not met. This lack of credible, positive actions and change by Malcolm X and his current organisation the Nation Of Islam is an idea which can be- and has been- argued in depth. One could argue that, in terms of De Jure, Malcolm X did not achieve anything significant and indeed many considered him to be irresponsible and negative; Thurgood Marshall even went as far as to say that the NOI was ââ¬Å"run by a bunch of thugsâ⬠. Despite this, De Facto, one cannot simply ignore the fact that Malcolm X did indeed draw early attention to the awful conditions in the ghettos and according to the FBI, he was ââ¬Å"The most successful recruiter for the Black Muslimsâ⬠. This can be credited to Malcolm X being a Zeitgeist; he was able to tap into the spirit of the time and the feelings of the people, using this to draw the huge amounts of support he did for the Nation of Islam. Indeed it may be seen that a radical, passionate individual like Malcolm X was needed at that specific time for the black nationalism movement; it cannot be ignored that Martin Luther King was not at his most successful stage and the fire of black civil rights and nationalism which had been burning brightly was indeed beginning to burn dimmer or some might even say had gone out at the time. After looking at the impact in which individuals had on the civil rights movement and the contrast of events, one can still come back to the fundamentals of the debate; without an individual to start an organisation or instigate an event surely no progress at all would have been made? Transsexual Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 3000 words
Transsexual - Research Paper Example Negative, unoptimistic views towards transsexualism and prejudice normally accompany a number of cultural values or religious beliefs. There are traditions, which have no obscurity accepting individuals who switch gender. In fact, they hold them with high standards such as promoting them to leaders of the Two-Spirit individuals found amongst a number of Native American tribal groups (Ekins & King, 2006). The National Center for Transgender Equality estimates that one percent of the United States population is a transsexual population (Garcia & Swaab, 2008). It can be extremely wearisome and scary knowing that someoneââ¬â¢s is different, but does not know why. Comprehending the nature of these distinctions can feel both frightening and empowering at the same time. Many transsexuals live in a ââ¬Å"closetedâ⬠world hiding from who they are and convincing themselves that their thoughts are provoked by an over-active imagination. Even though, not everyone might support transsexu als, it is vital that they acknowledge and respect who they are, regardless of what others think. Diagnosis Transsexualism can be seen in the two main diagnostic manuals utilized by mental health experts globally, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and the International Classification of Diseases (ICD). ICD defines transsexualism as an urge to live as a member of the opposite gender and still be acknowledged as a member of that sex, normally accompanied by a feeling of uneasiness with oneââ¬â¢s God-given sex. APA does not differentiate between transsexualism and sex identity disorder, and explains transvestic fetishism as a distinct fact, which might co-occur with transsexualism. The APA diagnosis needs four components: An insistence or desire that someone is of the opposite biological sex. Proof of constant discomfort with the personââ¬â¢s biological sex The individual is not intersex Proof of clinically important impairment or distress in social or work life. Process of Diagnosis The recent diagnosis of for transsexuals who offer themselves for mental treatment is gender identity disorder (APA, 2000). This diagnostic label is normally vital to acquire sex reassignment psychotherapy with health insurance coverage. The labeling of gender identity disorders as psychological illness is not an authorization for discrimination such people. It does not also permit for the deprivation of transsexualsââ¬â¢ civil rights. Nevertheless, some individuals diagnosed with the disorder do not wish for sex reassignment therapy at all (Green, 2004). Whereas some consider that formal diagnosis assist in stopping discrimination, others consider that it simply adds stigma, feeling that the diagnosis is equal to claiming something is wrong with transsexuals (Green, 2004). The management of "gender identity disorder" is perceived as an insulting and inappropriate endeavor to some transsexuals, and might be regarded a causal matter in cases of harm occurring to tran ssexuals due to discrimination and prejudice when they are deprived of their own civil rights. A lot of transsexuals have requested the APA to eliminate Gender Identity Disorder from their guide (APA, 2000). These transsexuals feel that some

Iran Case Study Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
Iran - Case Study Example This major concern is accompanied by a negative attitude towards Iranââ¬â¢s growing influence in post-war Iraq, which potentially can threaten the security and stability of the region. However, some analysts believe that Iranââ¬â¢s enrichment activity has another explanation besides the intention to build a nuclear weapon. They suggest that Iranââ¬â¢s leaders are seeking to empower their influence in the region and create destabilization in the Eastern hemisphere by spreading a word about their enriching uranium. This is what experts call ââ¬Å"strategic ambiguityâ⬠ââ¬â sowing doubt instead of building an actual bomb. Iran is a party of The Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, however, its status of Iranian nuclear program is in dispute due to the fact that the leaders of Iran refuse to reveal their uranium enrichment program. This fact seems to be suspect for other countries as they are afraid that the activity of Iran is not peaceful. At the same time, Iran insists that all countries have the right to enrich uranium and that this activity in Iran has nothing in common with the production of nuclear weapons, because it would violate the religious principles. International Atomic Energy Agency could not find any evidence that Iran produces the materials for a nuclear weapon, but Iran refused to provide the agency with information that could prove that their activity is peaceful, so this question remains in dispute. Hezbollah is a leading political force in Lebanon, which brings more strength to Iran with its links to this Shiite organization. However, Lebanon is no longer an Iranian satellite, it has become a fully autonomous partner, keeping within Iranââ¬â¢s strategic direction. Iran is striving to protect Hezbollah as an important element of its defense system against the USA and Israel. Iran has a power potential as a second larger producer of OIL among OPEC countries and it is one of the biggest crude oil experts in the world, however, this potential is not likely to be completely realized. After the Revolution, the Iranian economy has been poorly managed and it does not have enough resources to fight for and support the dominant position in the region.Ã

International Trade Essay Example for Free
International Trade Essay International trade is a complex process that involves both physical and abstract components. Its physical aspects include the goods that are traded such as textiles, raw materials for automobiles and manpower or human resources to name a few. Some of its abstract components include the trading policies of governments from every nation and the trading agreements between the trading parties. Issues surrounding international trade vary in terms of complexity and nature, usually involving not only the direct physical and abstract components of international trade but also other areas of concern such as geography of trading locations and the insurance of the traded goods. Since international trade involves two or more traders situated in different countries, there is the issue of trading policies. Governments usually create trading policies that international traders should adhere to. Otherwise, trade compromises will be arranged. Like typical trading activities, there is also the issue of trade agreements between the trading parties specifying what kind and what amount of goods are to be traded for a specified duration. Conformity and Convenience in Friedrich Durrenmattââ¬â¢s The Visit Essays
Friedrich Durrenmattââ¬â¢s epic tragicomedy The Visit is a haunting commentary on the nature of mankind and morality. Bringing to the surface many questions about the difference between justice and revenge, the play is constructed in a way that leaves the reader at once perplexed and conflicted. The difference between right and wrong is often overlooked and even contorted in order to conform with convenience as the citizens of the town become more desperate. The Visit is both a philosophical masterpiece and a harrowing tale of conditional morality. From the very first mention of the millionairess Claire Zachanassian, the reader is barraged with philosophical questions about the difference between right and wrong. Ill shares stories about Claireââ¬â¢s past which immediately foreshadow her perverted sense of morality and justice. For instance, he tells the mayor that: â⬠Clara loved justice. Most decidedly. Once when they took a beggar away she flung stones at the police. . .She stole potatoes once for an old widow (Durrenmatt 15).â⬠The town exalts her for her generosity and self-less behavior. Already, you begin to see the citizens of Guellen overlooking her immorality because it is convenient for them to do so, as she has the ability to help them recover from their state of financial distress. Upon hearing the proposition made by Claire Zachanassian, a million dollars in exchange for the murder of Alfred Ill, the town immediately reacts with disgust. The Mayor argues: â⬠You forget, we are not savages. In the name of all citizens of Guellen, I reject your offer; and I reject it in the name of humanity. We would rather have poverty than blood on our hands (Durrenmatt 39).â⬠The Mayor refuses to accept the offer made by Madame ... ...ty, good living, and luxury: we are moved by this matter of justice, and the problem of how to apply it.â⬠Finally, we see the town conclusively turning their back on Ill, reversing their initial decision for one more suited to settle their problem; though, in order to grapple with what theyââ¬â¢ve done, the town convinces themselves that they have done it for reasons of altruism so that their contorted sense of morality is justified. While the town had every intention of remaining humane originally, the escalation of poverty in the town, coupled with peopleââ¬â¢s willingness to overlook this, resulted in the inevitable murder of Alfred Ill. As the play ends, the viewer is left with a haunting picture of the members of Guellen standing together in a chorus, making one last justification for what they have done, conforming their morals to the mold of their convenience.

Previously, I had the opportunity to run into some of my favourite authors. It is a thrill like no other to run into one your heroes while strolling through a fair! I love reading and buying books, and for me this fair is a great celebration of thatâ⬠. For Kashfia Quayum, a recent graduate from the English Department at North South University, this is her first time at the Book Fair and she seems to be enjoying it a lot. ââ¬Å"I havenââ¬â¢t had a chance to visit the fair before. The last time I was here, I was just a kid and remember very little of it. This time, I am enjoying it a lot. Itââ¬â¢s a great way to learn about the literature of my own country and gain knowledge on the reading trends when it comes to Bangla books. I bought a lot of books today. Hopefully this will be the start of a great love affair between me and the literature of my mother tongueâ⬠Apart from the great collection of literature on display, the fair also hosts some of the more traditional treats such as street artists stationed outside the fair grounds, offering an opportunity to have your portrait done while you sit. The festive air around the grounds along with colorful stalls and knick knacks being sold here and there gives the fair an aura of a giant party that anyone is welcome to join. According to the book sellers this year, the sales seem to be on the rise. They are hopeful that book sales will be much better this year since the crowds seems to be much bigger. Amongst the new arrivals, Samorik Shashoner Doshoke by Anu Muhammad, Prithibita Ke Kahar by Mohit Kamal, Chhotravonger Purbapor by Sirajul Islam Chowdhury, Amra Kew Basai Nai by Humayun Ahmed, Ratuler Raat Ratuler Din by Muhammad Jafar Iqbal, Rabindranather Chitrashilpa by Ahmed Rafique, Stupid A Plus by Hafiz Al Faruque, Rochanabali (2nd part) by Sumsuzzaman Khan, Shrestha Kabita by Taslima Nasreen, Manush by Ismat Ara Eva are some of the prominent books.

Numerous food companies attempt to advertise their products by promoting the health issues so people will buy it since they believe the food they are buying are considered somewhat healthy. However, because of the fact that more and more people are concerning whether or not the food they are eating are good for their health, manufacturers begin to take advantages of unrealistic serving size and promoting only the good side of the food to attract people to buy their so-called healthy products. Hence, many of the advertising food have misleading labels, which are health-concerned labels that are claimed for the food, in which the manufacturers would like the buying public to believe the food is healthier than what it actually is. There are many advertised food that contain misleading labels out there in the market. From Albertsons Light Brownie Sensation Ice Cream is one of them. Basically, this is an ice-cream product and it fits in the milk, yogurt, and cheese group (2-3 servings per day) in the food pyramid. The nutritional values of this product are the relative good supplies of protein, calcium, and vitamin A. However, this product should supply a little more protein and calcium (since it is in the milk, yogurt, and cheese group), also add in some vitamin C would be great since it is not originally included in the product. A Journal opinion article and address an economic issue of current Essay - 1
A Journal opinion article and address an economic issue of current interest to Wall Street Journal readers - Essay Example a Questions & Answers session with Josh Zumbrun and Brian Baskin published on the Wall Street Journal (n.pag.), the two economics correspondents highlighted the implications of a reduction in world oil prices. It is true that a reduction in oil prices will increase GDP, create more jobs and reduce consumer prices however the long-term implications can sabotage technological development in the shale oil exploration, oil extraction and petroleum production projects. Most oil projects are large-scale developmental projects that require huge funding but a reduction in oil prices will make them less feasible. Investments in the oil sector will reduce and this will threaten the production of fuel which is a highly sought-after product for the industries. There are other psychological implications to the oil price reduction. Firstly, lower prices will stimulate a behavior of greater consumption which will increase consumer spending. Secondly, the sense that gas prices are low, consumers will not find an incentive to switch to more fuel efficient cars. As a result, investment in fuel efficient cars will decline making the production of fuel efficient cars unprofitable. Another impact would be that people will start to spend greater amounts on fuel and burn more fuel. The drop in prices will thus be adjusted by greater consumption of fuel and this will increase the overall demand. Considering the long term implications of the drop in fuel prices, there is a need for the government to regulate oil prices since oil is an important commodity. A price floor should be implemented below which the price of oil should not be allowed to fall (Mankiw, 117). This will help mitigate the impact of falling oil prices on consumer spending, greater fuel demand, and reduced investment in oil projects. In the long run this will enable healthy investments in fuel efficient cars as well as oil production projects so that they ensure ample oil supply that powers industries and fuel efficient
